I bought this book because my sister wrote it. It is filled with her rather slanted version of her child hood...which also happened to be mine....Her world view is somewhat to the left of mine and leaves no room for the opinion of others who inhabit the universe with her. Perhaps she has mellowed in the 20 years since the book was written. Also the very extreme feminist position she took is really outdated now. I was a feminist long before it became fashionable but much of what she had written is claptrap now.....
